Racist bullying of BAME (Black and Asian Minority Ethnic) women within police services in England: Race, gender and police culture

This article examines the hidden and under-researched area of bullying harassment Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) women in police service England. It discusses impact a historical policy failure to acknowledge importance intersectionality matters diversity continuing struggle between race gender. contributes ‘invisibility sexualization’ BAME policing. In doing so, it makes susceptible unique tactics that contribute their impeded progression compared with White counterparts. These are enhanced by organization enforced culture. The concludes underpinned issues patriarchy racism difficult challenge bureaucratic hierarchical like police.
